It’s that special time where I show you five Style.com treasures and you tell me if they are worth a months rent. Normally I like Viktor and Rolf- I think they are edgy, whimisical, creative- all those other adjectives that make you lose Project Runway.
But…..
Here- you be the judge:
As a person who cares about you, and your delicate sensibilities, I have spared you most of the gigantic potholder antics that 3/4 of the show was about, but I must bring you this:
and this:
thats only 4….lets see…what have I missed?
Oh, silly me- the ruffled icing confused me. Wrong party.
Am I being too harsh? Lace yourselves up and let me know what you think!

Lol! I think you are absolutely at the right party… they all look like handmade clothes for Barbie. Especially the last one with giant print and giant stitches!

The giant stitches just look like massive yarn, very “crafty” as Kors would say.

If you pull 1 string, will they fall apart, is my question!

Well, at least they remembered to take the curtain rods out of numbers 1 and 3, because that would have just made those look silly.

The one dress my first thought was wedding cake and then to see the Barbie cake below… you are bang on the money with your assessment.

I think I had the last one with the laces! It came with my Swiss Miss Barbie, lol!

Just….no. Those clothes would be vastly better without the lacing! Reminds me of the old saying, it takes two people to paint a picture. One to paint it, and the other one to shoot him when he’s done so he doesn’t keep adding to it and ruin it.

I had no idea you could ruin a trench coat! Yes, a 2nd designer is needed!

You totally nailed it with the Barbie cake! There might be something worthwhile in there under the kid-craft/ruffles, but it’s hard to tell… Although they are fun…

The embellishment works on the dress in the background of the second picture I think. The rest, much too fussy!

I was intrigued by that one too- then I saw it wasn’t a pop piece- it was a plan!

I like the color blue in the first pic, but that’s about it.

just an abuse of fine fabrics!

The real problem to me is that if you took away the bafflingly huge stitches, most of these pieces are really uninspired. The ugliness is the only thing that makes them interesting.

I don’t think we were supposed to notice that!

Oh my dear mother of god. What are/were they thinking.
