I’m having such a great time following along with Sunni and 400 of my closest friends as we tackle Simplicity 1880- or as I like to think of it: Duchess Kate in leopard! You know she wants to join us in the animal pen! You know she’s dying to get out of the beige trap and purr! I have evidence!Leopard print Diane Von Furstenburg clutch!!! She is trying- lets give her a big hand! She isn’t ready for this tho: Look at that fabulous feline! So vicious, so stylin’!
No, no- this one! Over here on Twiggy!
Look at that collar! I‘m so pleased with myself! I’ve learned so many neat little tricks and techniques so far and I haven’t even put my skirt on yet. Oh, huh. Thats a sentence my mother would prefer that you didn’t take out of context, ok?
Now once I get Kate in my faux predator posse- Camilla: I’m coming for you!!

I’m so pleased to be amongst your 400 friends. For some reason I thought you were going to be a wrapped leopard – but you are all-buttoned up instead. Much more royal of you!

I thought the button down front seemed more interesting with my spots! Also less gappy. I have not a clue about the buttons tho, nothing in the stash is waving at me.

*sigh* you must go shopping then.

That fabric kept ducking me when I opened the hoarding closet- it knew it was no average tunic!

Ooh, that looks lovely! I can’t wait to see the finished product! And yes, of course you must go shopping for the perfect buttons. It wouldn’t do to mar this make with less than perfection.

How fabulously purr-fect! It’s going to be an incredible dress. Gonna have to go shop for some buttons – maybe some amber coloured ones? I can’t wait to see this finished! I have yet to do the final pass on my collar, then it’s the buttonholes…

oooh amber….intriguing- I like!

I love this leopard print. If it wasnt for end of the month for me money wise I would have bought some animal print fabric the other day, inspired by your shirt dress. 🙂

Looking so good…the buttons will “find” you. I thought Kate had more fun at the match because she was w/sis; now I realize it was the bit of leopard. You are so good at spotting!!

Well, it’ll be an awfully big leopard, but the dress will be pretty!

The print you chose is great. Look forward to seeing the finished project. I had a siamese named Jasper that held court in my studio. He lived to be 18. Great cat. Now my shepard mix, Gracie hangs with me. Animals are like the best of friends, near by, always ready to listen and they never judge.

Wait ’tilI tell ya – you could easily give that royal (pay for nothing) family a good run for their money – your style is your own not paid for by the tax payer. OK politics aside: Meeoww! you go girl and what a super twist to the conventional shirt waister.

I think Kate wants to wear leopard…or at the very least zebra but I don’t think the queen will let her. That bag was a bit of rebellion. I can’t wait to see the done project!

I finished my shirt dress the other day, and I have to say- my collar came out fabulous! That doesn’t sound very humble, does it? I love learning how someone else does things. Always nice to get another perspective. I admit that your leopard dress will be awesome, but it’s too bad they don’t make an orange tabby print.

If i leave it on the floor- it may become tabby property!

Your cat is hilarious. Totally curious about got in Camilla’s bum. And as one of your 400 besties, I too am thrilled. Though I am so far behind after our rather inconvenient power outage. I’m still cleaning the sweat puddles up…

Lord I love some Camilla- that chick looks like she knows some filthy jokes and drives like a crazy thing. I’d opt for seats near her at functions! Power outtage- ouch! We barely missed it. If the husband gets too close to room temp he gets quite grumpy?!

My guess: she swears like a stevedore and openly discusses yeast infections with the other women-folk. She also carries a battery-powered hair dryer for dramatic impact at select photo ops. She laughs at fart jokes and stalks the French country side at the Tour de France to get pics of the riders taking natural breaks.
That is probably all incorrect, but I SO want it to be true.
