Wearable Wednesday Z Spoke by Zac Posen

I love Zac Posen, his collections are feminine, a little retro and bright. Also he is a dachshundist and of course that brings taste and culture to him naturally. Lets welcome him to Project Runway with a look at Z Spoke.I hate that this is a look book shoot and not runway, Ms Rocha looks like she is braced to be struck with pies, but you can see how gorgeous they are- Aargh- so much white on this non-existant background?! I will stick to the brighter designs, but there is heavy black and white in this collection.Coco in a high wind- she really needs to stop all this Norma Desmond foolishness…..Oh, cute dress- it even looks good with mild hip dysplasia…. Ah, to live without backfat….Thank goodness the wind machine cord got pulled!ooh- Coco, is it time for your annual meal? I understand if you need to rush off to eat that grape…..I am loving these sleeves! Does this purse pour out of both sides? We get it Zac, you sell handbags, too.oh-

  1. I haven’t had a chance to take a look at this collection yet. Beautiful! I could hang with him for the rest of my life. Not only are his clothes lovely, he’s rather pretty as well!!!!!!!

My question is…Will my orgasm be as good as the model’s if I wear these clothes? She looks like she’s really enjoying it–especially the bright green gown!

  3. Beautiful stuff and hey, she looks happy too! Of course I can’t imagine how any of this would translate onto me. I don’t have that active and creative an imagination…the little suit maybe and I’m going to be dreaming of that lovely green gown. Wow!

  4. The photography is horrible but I like some of the clothes (though probably not on me) My favorites are the dark blue dress in the first picture, the bright green one and maybe the yellow. With the tasseled purse and overexposed photography its hard to actually see the dress. The off-white or beige dress with the belt and the big purse is another one I might like if I could see it.

  5. Navy dress #1, the pink dress, and the yellow dress all need to find their new home in my closet. I’ve got a spot set aside for them so that they don’t have to touch the other clothes and everything!

    So. . . PRETTY!
And I actually like the photography–I like how the model seems to be enjoying herself, like maybe she might also eat a cupcake 🙂 And pale people make me happy.

Gorgeous garments! (And I like some of the photography, but others of those shots, well, not such a good look for the model or the garments. Oh well. *shrug*)

That mixed-print dress and jacket combo – me wants it!!

Simple but great use of colors, prints, and fabrics.

I didn’t think it could get funnier after the bracing for pies comment, and then you made me choke with the annual grape thing. I think there’s still some laugh gagging on the screen so let me clean that off…

  9. Ooooh I DO like that first dress! And although the modelling is, umm, special, it’s nice to see someone smiling (or baring their teeth to defend their territory) and not all slumpy, with their toes pointed inwards and their big sad eyes looking up over their depressed pout. I always want to shake them and tell them a knock knock joke or something, just to cheer them up.
