Ok, I’ll say it. I am not a fan of the Stella. I hold her responsible for jumpsuits returning. That was for clarity. We may proceed.
remember thinking how weird it was that Heather whats-her-x-Macca didn’t have her future daughter in law design her wedding gown. I think I understand now.
No. I’m not even sure this is finished.
Why is this model smiling? I’m not sure I could.
Mrs Mole- I ask you to explain.
How is this staying on?
I don’t….hate this. But it could just be that the other looks have worn me down.
Aha! I knew I’d find you here!

You just brightened up my Wednesday morning, thank you!

The horror! The second picture looks like the model was wandering around Hogwarts without clothes and Hagrid gave her his suit jacket to keep her warm.

The only part I like about that collection is the fabrics in the grey jersey and black lace bottom dress thing going on there. If my daughter in law designed crap like that, I wouldn’t want her to make my wedding dress either!

The fabrics deserved a better fate!

I actually like the outfit on the smiling model. Unfortunately I would have to grow 12″ in height to wear it well.

Theres just so much fabric swinging around on most of these for me

Q – Why is the smiling model carrying a box of tissues?
A – She is smiling because she didn’t have to wear the other things. The tissues are for passing out to the other girls when they get to the back.

#4 is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time!! The sad thing is I can see some people actually trying to get away with this :s

I had a skirt that did that. I went back and read the directions again.

Oh my! What a mess that collection is. I see a few things here and there that might work and I love the black and white bag the one model is holding, but geez, that stuff looks like it was culled from good will. And are some of the models wearing orthopedic clogs?

Well, they worked on their anorexia, now the industry is working to stamp out fallen arches.

Obviously that girl is wearing her skating skirt out for a Saturday and her mother yelled at her her to wear a jacket and she grabbed her big brother’s plaid one along with his baseball cap before someone could stop her. While the white outfit IS a wedding garment, the rest as Theresa says are from the Goodwill clearance rack along with the shoes which have been resoled with Michelin tires. The grey knit top with the black chiffony wrapped on skirt…OH MY…it would be interesting to know the prices of this frock just for the horror of knowing what Stella is making. The collection says Stella is confused while trying to be tough and androgynous while sending models down the runway with floating baggy numbers that say, “I just threw this is for laughs”.

What inspiration could she have possibly used?

The white outfit looks completely out of place in this collection which is probably why I like it the best. The only other thing I can say is that the smiling model looks comfy in her gray knit.

The neckline twisty business on the white is lovely!

Hmm…. I wonder if some careers are enhanced by having famous parents? No, no, of course not. Everyone gets what they deserve based on their own talent right? What was I thinking?

Well, it’s interesting(secret code for I don’t like this!) there is so much fabric in every garment. Someone must have had one incredible sale and they just had to use what they purchased. Hey! It’s a stash busting collection!!

After all that gray it was a joy to see the purple. And I think there’s enough fabric draped around that model to make something nice.

I like that white outfit but the rest? Looks like sacks when I used to pick sizes based on my full bust, not high bust…
And the shoes! They may as well wear rubber boots.

I honestly don’t get it. Why make clothes for women that don’t actually flatter anyone? If it looks sloppy on the model, it’s going to look sloppy on everyone.

Is this why Paltrow stopped speaking to her? She tried to make her wear these?

Well, at least she’s providing jobs to these poor disabled models, I mean, she even provided the orthopedic shoes! Gotta give her some props for that.

Actually, I like Stella – shock! horror! What you see in these pics will be in the shops in October just a little tamer. I think she’s one of the few designers who make ‘originals’. Guess I’m in a minority on this? Anyone???? Just one of you??? A teeny-weeny bit like??

I can see the fabric being your friend, but all the extra fabric? Its like a bunch of circle skirts attacking them. I’ll bet that you could pull off the white beautifully!

Perhaps everyone is too embarrassed to bring this up… Perhaps I should be, but here goes. Jumpsuits seem like a good idea until you have to go to the bathroom. We ladies simply aren’t properly equipped for this type of garment.

I think if my jumpsuit touched a public bathroom floor, it would be dead to me.

I love the white outfit, but the rest is just awful. I never liked her designs much ever, either. Never mind that I’d have to be pencil thin and boob-less to wear it without looking like a tent.

I like the “idea” of them, but not the execution. They seem to be very ill fitting.
And, if you are not a fan of the jumpsuit, you may be in for a big hate-on soon, when you see my Great Gatsby Sewing Challenge Make. I’ll be posting on Monday on my blog (maybe Tuesday if things get rushed). Would love to hear your thoughts on it! 🙂

I kind of like the purple jumpsuit at the bottom. It’s not that it looks good, it’s just that it reminds me of Winston Churchill’s velvet smoking onesie, which I am obsessed with. If it’s classy enough for a wartime Prime Minister, then I’m in!

It’s all gross and unflattering, but #2 has to be the worst one. I always think if an outfit makes a model look fat then it is not going to do anything for anyone with a ‘normal’ figure.
