Wearable Wednesday Meadham Kirchhoff

We’ll start slow- I think this will get interesting. Don’t sip your beverages, sit squarely in your seats.

If Coco Chanel had any regrets it was only that she may have inspired this….

Seeing her nipples is really just the tip of the iceberg as it were….

Oh dear sweet baby ruth- it’s pants!?

mk5

I kind of want to liberate this blouse and give it a safe home.

No, no, Estelle- throw a scarf over a floor lamp to give a soft glow to the room, wait- are you the floor lamp?

Meet the newest girl power supervillain- Rough Menses!

The designer was inspired by a visit to Seaworld and Sesame Place on the same day-\

  1. By the look of the hearts in the background you get the feeling it was supposed to be a romantic frolic but even Helena Bonham Carter wouldn’t look good in these. Three words come to mind…colorful, clowny and creepy. Surely those luscious fabrics could have been used in a more flattering way…I mean that snakeskin skirt is killer but the baggy t-shirt of embroidered flowers just takes the drama away. The last model is wearing boots made for “apres ski” for sure or can Rainbow Bright borrow them?

Well, I just don’t know what to say. If this is a successful collection then I think the fashion industry has lost its mind.
But I love your commentary! You always give me my first smile of the day every Wednesday 🙂

  3. OMG. Part of me died when we hit that second, awful, awful look. Because, you know, everyone wants to look 1. like a home ec project gone waaaay bad and 2. like they’ve just gained 1000 pounds!

The rest was just downhill from there.

Yet another case of some nut job giving out $$$ aimlessly to fund fashion disasters like this one! (WHY don’t they send that $$$ to ME? Do you know what kind of an awesome fabric stash I could build? Promise no tacky fashions or dishtowels worn as jackets!)

  4. I noticed you didn’t make a comment for the gold shiny animal print! 😀 Some of these pieces are so over the top that they’d be gorgeous to have in your closet just so you could pet the fabric!

  5. Let’s see, ugly clothes that do noting to enhance the female shape, shoes that should never see the light if day, and models that look like hostages. This is a mysoginist, not a designer.

  6. I’m probably crazy, but I kind of like the Sea World dress. Or at least in theory I do. The rest of it is rather atrocious, but to call it clown like is an insult to clowns, and after watching “IT” as a child, I’d rather stay off their radar if possible….

  7. Hi Anne, you are hilarious! I have nominated you for a Liebster Award. You don’t have to accept, but the details are on my blog, I hope you have a look and enjoy the process 🙂

  8. I don’t think it was possible to have too much sparkle on a runway, sadly this collection proves that theory wrong. I think that second picture was meant to be from chanel’s “linebacker collection”, and got included here as a mistake.
