Mother Fulton is missing a lot of placemats.
I’m going to need to borrow those eye-shields, Ma’am.
Let’s just say what we are all thinking. BEWB SWEAT!
This is a blue plate special of wrong with a side of pit cleavage to go.
I’m still getting a little pot holder, kitchen linen vibe, but it’s ok.
‘Louis! Turn up the music- she’s wearing the skirt!’
‘I can’t hear you over that squeaking, Ben, what?’
“never mind, Louis, you muttonhead. ‘
Joseph told her he wanted to play more games in the bedroom. Wanda obliged with a parchesi skirt.
Oh, I pray to Coco and Betsey that you can see what this is doing to her bust.

I kind of like #5, but the rest look like they’re made of bits and pieces from the linen cupboard. The shirt dress in #2 looks nice except for the length which makes it dowdy. Models have flabby bits at the ‘boob-arm junction’ too!

I liked #5 too- thats the one that made me start really focusing on the details

I guess the designer was going for the play of hard and soft against each other. While the shapes are simple enough, she misses the mark on the boob tubes. The shoes are nice and it is a joy to see waistbands sitting on waists instead of hips. The Parcheesi outfit is nice and while all the models seem to be wearing something shiny/vinyl at least they all could be interchanged with each other. If the white top with the teal geometrical skirt could be made in linen with cut-out embroidery it would be darling.

I love the ideas here, but its bordering on gimmicky- less vinyl/shiny would be alot more wearable!

I like several of these. My favorite: the second one, and sorry, I have to say this – longer skirts are NOT dowdy; they are elegant and ladylike. Of course they can be dowdy but it’s not the length that makes them so; it’s the overall style.
Well, anyway… better get off my soapbox now. I also sort of like the “kitchen linens” skirt and top and the parchesi skirt but perhaps with a different top/bodice (I can’t tell if it’s a dress or a skirt and top)

Dowdy is more about shape than length, I think.

Exactly. I will reluctantly admit that length does have something to do with it, since no one would ever consider a mid-thigh length dress “dowdy” no matter what the shape, but length is not the main thing.

Shape, footwear, Miss Marple handbag- these contribute more to dowdt for me.

I like the shape and the cut of most of the outfits. Great shoes. Seems like the stylist was having a good day, except for those dollar-store glasses.

I kind of like #4. Does that make me a bad person?

Never a bad person! An individual who likes it strappy!

I wish my placemats were so pretty! I was lovin’ it all until I got to the funny pointed bandeau top. What??? The best part though is that I would have missed it if not for you. You have an eye like no other 🙂

I wonder how these dresses stand up to crumbs…..

That first dress, and those awesome trousers – yay! If the dress is made out of placemats, perhaps I’ve finally found the reason why I save all my fabric remnants! LOL ^_^

Ok, maybe 1 and 2 are okay, maybe maybe 5 and 7, but the fabric? And definitely not the bandaid construction! I would be squishing out above and below and all over!

I like #5 but #2 needs something to break up that print. That is Adele’s fatal flaw as well.

Poor Adele! #2 could have used a belt or a contrast placemat

I just noticed this Holly Fulton set at the bottom of your last post! Believe it or not I made patterns and garments for Hollys first 3 shows at Fashion East several years ago?? I must admit this collection isn’t one of my favourites, but I do like some of the others. !! 🙂
