Wearable Wednesday Costello Tagliapietra

I have many feelings going on here. I’m excited to see some tailoring and texture. c1

Bruderlein hopes that each little channel in this vest is filled with puppy squeakers!! Oh let it be so!

After a memorable night with her favorite Holiday Inn Lounge singer, Martha does the walk of shame.

Erin cunningly wrote the geometry test answers on the lining of her wrap skirt- Sister Patronis would never catch on!!!

They really need to mark the fronts and backs on these- Leslie appears to be confused.

Ok, now we are talking-

I know that material! The beds in Dr McCoys sick bay were upholstered in it!

Rambo’s prom date?

Let’s thank the designers who took extra time away from their busy schedule as lawn gnomes!c8

  1. After seeing the 2 back woodsmen designers I can see where the little touches of plaid come from…their own closets, but so nice to see real fabrics and luscious textures and real pants. Rambo’s prom date reminds me of the camo wedding dresses on the market…all she needs is a shotgun to complete her ensemble!

As I scrolled through, I thought that the tailoring was lovely , but on the other hand, a little L.L. Bean….and then I saw the designers. Ohhhh, now I get it. šŸ˜‰

  3. The designers … They kind of look like something from the woods of Canada, just give them a gun and some hunting cammo vests! Or a fishing hat, rod, and boat? (I can say that, I live here!). Other than that there are a couple of pieces I like! Like the coats and pants…maybe the plaid shirt but it is hard to see under all those layers. Again with the layers.

I really liked the grey trousers in the first two pics. Wish I could fiddle a pattern to do that. The garden gnome suggestion is a scream! Maybe gnomes are their fashion icons? Always love your column..

  5. Mixed feelings indeed! I, too, love the tailoring and textures – and frankly, that sickbay upholstery fabric (seriously… where can I get that?; it’s awesome)…. but the green tuft on that hideous mint green blouse reminds me of a reverse brazilian wax LOL – what were the garden gnomes thinking?? LOL
