In an old house in Paris

That was covered with vines,

Lived 12 little girls
In 2 straight lines

They left the house at half-past nine-
In 2 straight lines.

In rain or shine,

The smallest one was Madeline.

LOL. The first skirt and blouse are okay (just maybe not together?) but the collection quickly went downhill (more like off the edge of a cliff) from there.

When does it drop so low that it’s no longer a crotch?

Finally, an answer about what to do with scraps…sew on a clear plastic overlay and stuff in the scraps. Now why didn’t I think of that?!! 😜

Personally, I’m just glad that the Thompson Twins’ incestuous offspring could find work modeling.Warms the heart, it does.

What did these girls do to deserve such punishment? Forget to say their rosary?

My curly hair looks like that sometimes when I get up in the morning! But the dropped crotch on those pants? I can’t with that.

How does one avoid clown pant chaffing in those?

Have to say that I love come des garçons, though I don’t own any. If you ever get a chance to look at pieces in person, they are constructed in the most fascinating ways. The designer really has a sense of craft and I remember a past collection (maybe 15-20 years ago) that looked like everything was inside out with raw seams – a concept obviously – but close up it was a beautiful reference to the act of sewing itself.

They really are beautifully executed and I don’t hate most of these- though I am far too large for lagenlook…..

It is a bit of an 80s flashback here, think Tidy Punk. I remember wearing (and making, of course) similar pants, teamed with a t-shirt which I had put scraps of scrunched up orange plastic on and sewn back and forth randomly to make it stick. You would have been able to do good commentary on my 80s collections!

It looks like they found a trunk in the attic. Love the the expressions on the girls faces – just daring anyone to comment on their moth eaten outfits. They look like the rebellious children of the Stepford Wives.
